The Capital of France

Paris is not only the capital of France but also pretty much the centre of everything else. Paris is the only point in France where any TGV has a direct connection from any major railway station in France and severl major stations in Europe. Paris has two major international airports, the Charles de Gaulle Airport (Aéroport Roissy-Charles de Gaulle) also known as Roissy Airport with often really cheap flights to Heathrow Airport in London - UK, Frankfurt International Airport in Germany and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands.

Paris Airports

The second biggest international airport in Paris is the Orly Airport (Aéroport de Paris - Orly) located in the south of Paris, France. From there you can book flights to cities in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Caribbean. The third most important airport is the Paris Beauvais Tillé Airport (Aéroport de Paris Beauvais Tillé). It was originally a small airport but as cheap airlines such as Ryanair made the Beauvais Tillé its destination airport.

Paris in the heart of France

The capital of France is situated on the River Seine, at the heart of the Île-de-France region. It's the city with higest population in France and second in Europe after London. There about 2 million people living in the heart of the city but including urban areas it gets close to 10 million citizens.
